Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 2026
At Glacier Aminos, your privacy matters. We are committed to keeping your personal information safe, using it responsibly, and being transparent about how it is handled. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you interact with our website, account, and services.
This Policy applies to glacieraminos.shop, our customer accounts, our customer-support email, and any other Glacier-operated service that references this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Personal information you provide
- Name
- Email address

- Account credentials (password hash, two-factor authentication settings if enabled)
- Wholesale or research-tier information you provide at sign-up (institution, role, qualifying documentation)
- Any information you provide through forms, support tickets, customer-support emails, surveys, or product reviews
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information (browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language)
- IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it
- Pages you visit, actions you take, time on page, referring URL, and session duration
- Order, cart, and account activity (products viewed, items added, checkout attempts)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies described in Section 4
- Aggregate visitor metrics gathered via Vercel Web Analytics — these are first-party and pseudonymous; no third-party advertising profiles are created
Information from third parties
- Payment processors send us a confirmation of payment, the last four digits of the card used, and any fraud-risk flags
- Shipping carriers send us tracking-event updates that we attach to your order history
- Email providers send us bounce, complaint, and delivery events so we can keep your account communications working
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process, fulfill, and track your orders
- Send order confirmations, shipping notifications, refund or replacement updates, and other transactional account communications
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries by email, SMS, or in-account messaging
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent unauthorized access
- Improve and personalize the storefront experience
- Send promotional offers, product launches, and newsletters — only if you have opted in
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and violations of our Terms & Conditions
- Comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
- Aggregate de-identified statistics to understand site performance and product demand
Glacier Aminos does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share customer data with advertisers, data brokers, or other commercial buyers.
3. Third-Party Services We Rely On
Operating the storefront requires a small set of trusted vendors. Each processor below only receives the information necessary to perform its service, operates under a written data-processing or confidentiality agreement, and is contractually prohibited from using your information for any unrelated purpose.
- Payment processing — credit-card and bank-transfer processors capture payment and tokenize card data
- Shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, USPS) — deliver your order and provide tracking updates
- Email and SMS communications (Resend, Klaviyo) — deliver transactional and opted-in marketing messages
- Hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare) — host the storefront, store your account data, route traffic, and serve images
- Analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) — first-party, aggregate visit counts and performance metrics
- Fraud and risk scoring — automated checks at checkout to prevent card fraud
We may also disclose information when required by law, valid subpoena or legal process, to protect the safety and rights of Glacier Aminos or others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets (with appropriate confidentiality protections).
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use first-party cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) for three purposes:
- Essential. Keep you signed in, remember items in your cart, store your session and CSRF tokens, and enforce compliance acknowledgments
- Functional. Remember preferences such as language, pack-size selections, and recently viewed products
- Analytics. Measure aggregate pageviews, page performance, and broad navigation patterns in a privacy-preserving way through Vercel Web Analytics
We do not set third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral-tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the site — particularly account sign-in and the cart — will not work without them.
5. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. These include:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2+
- Encryption of data at rest in our hosting infrastructure
- Role-based access controls; only the small set of Glacier personnel who need access for support, fulfillment, or compliance can view customer data
- Audit logging of administrative access
- Tokenized payment storage — full card numbers are never written to our databases
- Routine security review of our application, dependencies, and third-party processors
Despite our safeguards, no internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential, using a unique password for this site, and accessing the Services from secure networks and trusted devices. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact info@glacieraminos.shop immediately.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and to comply with our legal obligations:
- Account information — retained while your account is active. You may request deletion as described in Section 7.
- Order records — retained for at least seven (7) years to satisfy tax, accounting, and audit obligations; this supersedes deletion requests for that limited dataset.
- Support communications — retained for three (3) years for quality, training, and dispute resolution.
- Marketing preferences — retained until you unsubscribe; we retain the unsubscribe record indefinitely to honor your choice.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request that inaccurate information be corrected or updated
- Request deletion of your account and personal information (subject to records we are required to retain under Section 6)
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information
- Receive a portable copy of your data in a common format
- Opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by emailing us
To exercise any of these rights, email info@glacieraminos.shop from the address on file with your account. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to other websites or services we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
9. Age Restriction
This website is intended for users aged 21 and over. Glacier Aminos does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under 21. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 21, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a child under 21 has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@glacieraminos.shop.
10. Research-Use Only Disclaimer
All products sold by Glacier Aminos are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research, analytical, or compound-characterization use only. They are not intended for human consumption, clinical use, medical use, diagnostic use, or veterinary applications. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this condition. See our full Research-Use Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions.
11. International Visitors
Glacier Aminos is based in the United States, and information you provide is processed and stored in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to, and processed in, a country whose data- protection laws differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes — for example, expanding the categories of data we collect or sharing data with a new class of recipients — will be communicated by email to active account holders or by a prominent notice on the storefront. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
